Domestic & Export Lumber

We buy our standing timber from the abundant wood lots located within a 65-mile radius of our headquarters and in the flourishing Allegheny National Forest in Western PA and into Western NY. The hardwood timber in this area is known for its consistent color, tight grain configuration, and excellent woodworking properties. In this area, one will find the largest combination of Black Cherry, Soft and Hard Maple, Red and White Oak, Poplar, Ash, and Walnut in North America. We also have veneer quality and number one saw logs available for worldwide distribution. The available rich timber resource of the surrounding region enables Penn-Sylvan to meet the competitive demand for consistent grain, color and configuration in both logs and lumber. After kiln drying all lumber is reinspected prior to shipment. Details of packaging, tallying, and documentation are controlled to meet strenuous export requirements.
